“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Sonya apologises for going through Toadie’s box of stuff the other day with Mark. When Toadie asked her why, she said she finds Dee’s story about the reclusive woman a bit strange. She also doesn’t get it why Dee hasn’t contacted her family or Toadie until now. He tries to offer an explanation, citing Karl. “A brain injury can make you irrational or unpredictable, completely change your personality,” Toadie tells Sonya, who falls asleep before she can hear the rest.
Digital Spy reports that Sonya continues to doubt Dee’s story, which leads to a growing tension between the two women. Dee makes an attempt to talk to Sonya about it, but it doesn’t help their awkward situation. Mark, on the other hand, suspects that there’s another person in Dee’s room. Meanwhile, Steph and Victoria hang out again, and the evening ends with a kiss.
“Neighbours” recap
Last week, Brad and Lauren grilled Paige after she revealed that David’s the father of her baby. When Brad wondered why the two didn’t admit it sooner, David said he was worried about how his parents – who are extremely conservative – would react. Meanwhile, an upset Jack walked out of the house with Amy. Outside, Jack and Amy talked about what happened, and she confessed that she used to like David and she thought he was gay.
Later, Jack got an opportunity to speak to Paige alone, and he told her how happy he was for her and David. Jack also confronted David and ordered him to tell Paige that he’s gay. David refused and guaranteed that Paige won’t fall for him – she only has her eyes on Jack and that would never change.
Aaron and Leo were freaking out about the baby wombat kidnapping and how to raise the cash for the ransom. Leo, who continued to believe that Terese and Paul are behind the kidnapping, confronted the two. Terese and Paul just laughed off his accusations and Leo walked away after issuing a threat.
Gary turned out to be the abductor, resorting to desperate measures for some cash. He called Leo, using an app to make his voice unrecognisable, and gave instructions on how to give the money. Later, Amy found out about the wombat kidnapping and confronted Paul about it, thinking he’s responsible for it. After Paul denied it, she opened up to Gary about the incident. Worried that Leo would struggle financially, Amy thought of lending him some money. Gary started feeling guilty about what he did and promptly returned the baby wombat to Leo.
With the kidnapping incident behind him, Leo moved on to his next mission: to get revenge on Paul and Terese. He found the opportunity when he heard Piper and Brad arguing about living arrangements. Leo offered Piper and Tyler a free stay at the backpackers in exchange for labour. Earlier, the two checked in at Robinson’s motel until Paul knocked on their door and kicked them out.
