‘Neighbours' spoilers for July 15: Piper and Tyler’s relationship struggles are not yet over; Paul and Terese delve into Ryan’s background

Shocking revelations and truths loom over Ramsay Street as “Neighbours” caps the week. On Friday, Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel) thinks she’d finally get a chance to pursue a romance with Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), after her mum permits them to go the school’s formal together. However, a stunning discovery leads Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) to burst Piper’s bubble.

Meanwhile, a jealous Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) seeks to find skeletons in Ryan Prescott’s (James Sweeny) closet, but Terese hires someone to conduct an investigation as well. Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Friday’s episode. In the trailer, it seems things are heating up between Terese and Ryan, but Amy orders him to stay away from Terese. Amy also realises that Madison has seen her pictures as a sexy maid. Digital Spy reports that Paul gets jealous after seeing Terese with another man, and vows to dig dirt about him. However, Terese beats him to it and hires an investigator to find out more about Ryan.

Meanwhile, Piper is stunned to see Xanthe’s expensive dress. But she’s more surprised when Tyler turns down her invitation to be her date in the school’s formal. According to Digital Spy, that Tyler will eventually agree but only if they get Terese’s actual go signal. However, Terese finds out about Piper’s private vlog that’s meant for Tyler’s eyes only and realises just how much her daughter has fallen for Tyler.

“Neighbours” recap

On Thursday, Gary struggled as mulled over accepting a dodgy deal to make more money. Amy spotted him and he opened up to her about his financial problems. She volunteered to tutor Xanthe. However, Amy couldn’t make Xanthe focus on her studies and suggested hiring a professional tutor. Without any other options, Gary called Kev M and said he’s accepting the job offer, but later on changed his mind. He also put his foot down and told Xanthe that her tutoring should come first before her dress.

Meanwhile, Xanthe came up with an idea to convince Terese to let Piper date Tyler. Xanthe told Piper to date someone a million times worse to make Tyler appear the suitable choice. Later, Piper introduced Terese to her date to the formal, who turned out to be a middle-aged man. Expectedly, Terese didn’t approve and told the man to stay away from her daughter. Piper threatened to look for someone worse, but Madison came down on her to criticise what she’s doing.

Terese was given a suspended two year-sentence for obstructing justice at the Lassiter explosion. It was the best outcome considering her situation, and Terese was happy about it. What’s more, Ryan’s attention puts her in a good mood. She only has one reservation – he’s younger than her. When Piper saw Terese flirting with Ryan, Piper lost it and accused her mum of being a hypocrite for being interested in a guy half her age. Tyler and Steph looked on as Piper lashed at her mum. After Piper stalked off, Tyler approached Terese for a talk. After their talk, Terese seemed to change her mind about Tyler. Terese told Piper she can go to the formal with Tyler, but with certain boundaries. Piper was ecstatic.

Speaking of ecstatic, Terese was excited about her upcoming date that night. Madison encouraged her earlier to go for it. However, when Terese’s “lucky guy” turned at the doorstep to pick her up for their date, she and Amy were horrified to learn that it was Ryan.
