Shocking secrets and devious schemes hound Ramsay Street in the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Thursday, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) gives her niece a juicy scoop for the newspaper, involving the new cleaning company at Lassiters. Madison Robinson (Sarah Ellen) pursues the story, but is taken aback when she uncovers the truth about Amy Williams’ (Zoe Cramond) shady past.

Meanwhile, despite his resolve to create space between him and Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley) is finding it hard to resist temptation. Now that they’d be around each other more than ever, it seems it would not take much to give in to his feelings for the brunette beauty.

Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the July 7 episode include Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Tom Quill (Kane Felsinger), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Mer), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) and Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich).

Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode. On the first scene, Paul tells Madison that he’s been digging around with the new cleaning contract at Lassiters. Smelling something fishy, Madison wants to take on the case for a scoop in the newspaper and tells Amy just as much. Tom, on the other hand, tells Aaron that the hotel cannot afford bad PR anymore. Digital Spy reports that in the pursuit of her story, Madison accidentally finds photos of Amy as a sexy maid.

The trailer also shows Paige saying, “When I’m around him I just can’t think straight.” Despite Jack’s statement that they should have space, he can’t seem to keep his hands off her. Digital Spy spoilers say that Jack would be working closely with Brad for the outreach program, meaning that he’ll be around Paige’s radar more than ever. When Jack admits that he can't think straight around her either, Paige resumes her original plan of attack.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, Paige stripped down naked to swim after working out. Jack appeared and couldn’t take his eyes off her. He went up to her and said he had something for Brad, then excused himself. Paige invited him to join her but Jack, clearly rattled, said he had something else to do. Shortly after, Tyler sought advice from Jack about Piper. Jack said Tyler shouldn’t cross the lines and do something wrong just because he likes to do it. During their conversation, Jack accidentally blurted out that he likes Paige. Jack expressed his confusion about choosing his religion or Paige. Later, when Brad popped in to invite them over for the barbeque, Tyler thanked him for being open-minded about him and Piper. Brad, on the other hand, appreciated his efforts to do the right thing. The two men don’t know they have totally different ideas of what’s going on.

Brad was stressing out about Piper, Madison’s article and finding a new place for the kids under his youth program. Lauren talked some sense with him and suggested having a barbeque party with some friends to schmooze Sonya about a new venue. When Brad went over to the Rebecchi’s to invite them, Toadie readily agreed but Sonya hesitated then accepted in the end. Meanwhile, Brad learned that Jack used to run a similar outreach program before. Brad decided Jack could help him with his application for a new venue. Things seemed to be going smoothly, especially when Brad found out that the lease for Off Air is up for grabs. He managed to get Sonya’s approval.

Speaking of the Rebecchi’s, Sonya turned to Mark to seek his advice about her marital troubles. She believed Toadie doesn’t find her attractive anymore, but Mark brushed off the idea. Toadie, on the other hand, went to the hotel to apologise to Steph. She advised him to forgive Sonya properly and cut her some slack. At home, Toadie and Sonya were finally able to talk and attempt to settle their differences. In order to get past through their recent hitch, Toadie recommended being intimate every day for a whole month. She heartily agreed to his idea, and things seemed to be looking up for the couple.

When Jack arrived at Paige’s, he explained why he was acting all weird that morning. He admitted that he’s so attracted to her that when she’s around, he completely loses himself. Jack then delivered the bad news: until he figures thing out, he needs to have some space from Paige. That means absolutely no contact at all. Paige was floored but quickly regained her composure. She ranted to Aaron but swore she’d steer Jack to her side. “When I’m done with him, he’s never going back,” she vowed. Later, she planned to go over to Jack’s to convince him to go back to the barbeque. She was all dressed-up and ready to go when the priest who was mentoring Jack showed up. “I know who you are and I know what you’re trying to do,” he said. Without mincing words, he told Paige she won’t be successful in her mission. “He will keep his vows because he’s a good man,” the priest said, referring to Jack. “And good men aren’t interested in girls like you.”
