‘Neighbours’ spoilers for Sept 5: Mark and Steph discovers that the stalker is linked with Belinda; Ned betrays Piper for Elly

It appears that the culprit, Ari Philcox (Dylan Watson), is an extremely dangerous man who has strong feelings for Belinda Bell (Nikki Shiels) and is chasing after Steph for revenge.
Meanwhile, Piper Willis’ (Mavournee Hazel) courage to expose Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) doesn’t pay off, especially when her own brother, Ned (Ben Hall), stabs her in the back. “Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Belinda tells Mark that she might know who’s after Steph – Marion. The stalker seemed to blame Steph for breaking up with Belinda and making her lose her nurse’s registration. When Mark learns that Marion’s surname is Hilcox and that Ari is his nickname, Mark immediately rushes off – it seems this is not the first time that he encountered the name.
Digital Spy reports that according to Belinda, Ari was a psychotic ex-patient who was infatuated with her. Mark goes to the wildlife sanctuary to hunt down Ari, but he seems to have taken off with his snakes. Mark then decides to hide both Steph and Belinda in a safe house to protect them.
Meanwhile, Digital Spy spoilers also suggest that Elly is floored after learning about Piper’s formal complaint against her. She urges Ned to look through Piper’s phone for any incriminating vlog, which he does despite his hesitations. This helps Elly’s case and Susan decides there’s not enough proof to back Piper’s accusations of unfair treatment. Piper’s case is immediately closed, leaving her absolutely furious.
“Neighbours” recap
Last week, Madison was gearing up for her first regular gig at the Waterhole, but she was extremely anxious about her upcoming performance. Worse, she seemed to have a string of bad luck. First, she lost her voice, and while she got it back soon enough, she ran into another unfortunate incident – the power went out. While Paul and Terese checked what’s going on, Steph turned anxious and feared that the stalker might be behind the power outage.
Meanwhile, Paul seemed to be using Madison as an excuse to hang around Lassiters and bump into Terese. He seemed to be so caught up with his theory that Terese is sleeping with Tom Collins that Steph even teased him about it. Paul denied it meant anything – he said he’s just looking out for his niece. Later, when the power went out, the two talked closely in the dark and sparks flew with their sexual innuendos and double entendre. It looked like they were about to kiss… until the power went back on.
Meawnhile, Piper wasted no time informing Brad what Elly called her – a skank. Brad was doubtful at first, considering Piper’s history with Elly. It was also unfortunate that nobody else heard Elly say it, meaning it would be Piper’s words against her teacher’s. Brad and Piper approached Elly, but she denied having a bias against the schoolgirl. Elly also refuted the “skank” accusation, and even mentioned that there’s conflict of interest given that Brad is Piper’s father.
Later, Elly went to Terese’s office and glaringly implied that if her family doesn’t back off, Elly would blab the truth about the hidden cameras. Backed up in a corner, Terese agreed to manage her daughter. She and Brad talked to Piper, who felt unsupported by her parents. She was mad that both her parents seemed to side with Elly and even advised her to get to her teacher’s good side. Piper found the much-needed support from Lauren, who advised her to fight for what’s right. After mulling over it, Piper heeded Lauren’s advice and called Susan to file an official complaint against Elly.
Elly, on the other hand, told Ned that she didn’t actually remember calling Piper a skank, but admitted that the teenager has been giving her a hard time. Ned tried to advise her, but Elly blew him off and walked off. After talking to Lauren, Ned realised that Elly just wanted some comfort, not necessarily for Ned to fix things. He texted Elly and apologised, and asked for a chance to make it up to her. Later, Ned arranged for a surprise for Elly with the camper van, and the two made up right away. After their romantic date, Elly and Ned headed to Harold’s, where he ran into a friend, Bree. She observed that Ned’s been acting really friendly with Elly and warned him that they’d better be just friends – he knows how possessive Regan can be.
