New 'Bumblebee' trailer teases more Transformer action
A new trailer of “Bumblebee” has been released online. The trailer teases some of the massive action sequences featured in the film. The fan favourite Transformer isn’t the only alien robot in the movie, and Optimus Prime (Voice by Peter Cullen) will be back.
The upcoming film is actually prequel, set at a time long before the events in the main “Transformers” movies. This is also the origin story of Bumblebee, but the robot is a lot smaller than what the fans have seen before.
While Bumblebee develops a friendship with a teenage girl, the enemies are closing in. There are other Transformers on Earth who call the planet home. They will meet with the US military and turn it against the protagonist, calling him a criminal who can bring an alien war to this planet.
One of the action sequences featured in the trailer appears to be a part of a back-story about the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
A message from Optimus Prime appears to be triggered accidentally when Bumblebee falls down in a forest. His instructions are clear- protect Earth in order to win the war!
Bumblebee may have a hard time convincing the military that he is one of the good guys fighting to protect them. Things are particularly difficult since he can’t speak. But, when his friend asks him to fight back, the soldiers are in some trouble after he puts on his armour.
The action sequences with the CGI will be fun to watch, but at the heart of the story is the friendship between a girl and an alien.
“Bumblebee” has been directed by Travis Knight. The film is set to be released on Dec. 20 in Australia. The cast members include Hailee Steinfeld (Charlie Watson), John Cena (Agent Burns), Angela Bassett (Voice of Shatter), and Justin Theroux (Voice of Dropkick).
