New 'Fantastic Beasts' posters put Credence with Grindelwald
New posters of “Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald” have been released online. One of the pictures puts Credence (Ezra Miller) right next to the main villain, suggesting that the character will continue to play an important role in the film.
Credence was an important character in the first film. In the sequel, the character will join a travelling circus. The character is an Obscurial, a wizard who has developed a parasitic force due to suppression of magic within him.
An Obscurial isn’t expected to live long, and it is uncommon for Credence to have lived so long. The character may die soon, but he may have an important role to play before his death.
Among the set of new posters of the upcoming film posted on Collider, there is one that shows Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) and Credence together. The villain had a particular interest in the Obscurial even in the first film, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to harness the powers of the young wizard by manipulating him in the sequel.
The duo who will try and stop Grindewald are Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). The two characters get their separate poster, just as the villain.
“The fate of one. The future of all,” the new posters state. The villain can be seen wielding the Elder wand in the posters.
The upcoming film will pick up from right where the first movie left off, with Grindelwald in prison. The villain will make a daring escape in the film, and the trailer shows this to be one of the exciting scenes to look forward to.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” has been directed by David Yates and the script has been written by JK Rowling. The film is set to be released on Nov. 15 in Australia.
