Nick (Jake Johnson) tries to keep things cool when Reagan (Megan Fox) moves in with him while Cece (Hannah Simone) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) question Schmidt’s (Max Greenfield) love of EDM on “New Girl” season 6, episode 11 (New Girl 6x11).
Spoiler alert: This recap contains plot details about season 6 of “New Girl.” The sixth season premiered Sept. 20. The show is available in Australia via Tenplay.
Nick freaks out that Reagan is about to arrive but hilariously tells the other guys to chill. He doesn’t pick her up at the airport to show that he isn’t making a big deal out of the whole thing. When Reagan arrives, Winston clumsily calls her “Raisin” while Jess (Zooey Deschanel) makes use of all kinds of machinery to avoid hearing Nick and his girlfriend’s sex sounds, which Cece describes as “two Germans having a sponge fight.”
On their first day living together, Nick fakes having extra duties at the bar, leaving Reagan to hang out with Jess. Problem is, Jess is unable to remember what “secrets” came out during their ladies’ night. With Cece’s help, Jess recalls that Reagan told her about a secret apartment.
Winston and Cece mock Schmidt about his love of electronic dance music (EDM). Winston tries to prove to Schmidt that EDM is overrated and can easily be made, so he begins creating music out of recorded clips of his roommates. Unfortunately, Nick hears the recording of Jess talking about Reagan’s secret apartment, and proceeds to ask Jess for help to find out more about his girlfriend’s secret pad.
Jess further escalates things when she accidentally mentions Nick’s fake bar shift to Reagan while trying to probe. Nick and Reagan talk it out, with Nick saying that he didn’t want to scare her away by being too serious. Reagan tells him that the secret apartment was a backup plan in case things don’t work out between them.
Schmidt, meanwhile, is devastated when he finds out that the song Winston played to him was actually made by Winston himself and not EDM artist Avicii. He questions his overall taste and is so upset that he decides to wear un-Schmidt-like things like a New York Rangers jersey and a cowboy hat. Cece and Winston make it up to him by getting him a fancy and unconventional chair of his liking.
