Miley Cyrus is back to what she was in her post-Hannah Montana days when she was engaged to Liam Hemsworth. The singer has released a new music video for “Malibu,” a peppy new song from her upcoming new album, and the video sees a completely different Miley Cyrus.

Unlike the rebellious Cyrus that her fans have seen for the past few years, in the video, she has very soft hues of make-up, which are almost natural. Her choice of clothes is also different from what her fans have seen her in recent past. Cyrus is seen wearing flowing dresses in pastel shades, mostly whites and creams, unlike the nipple pasties and revealing jumpsuits she had supported in her previous music videos like "Wrecking Ball."

“Malibu” is a song that Cyrus has written keeping in mind her relationship with her on and off boyfriend, Australian-born actor Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus said in a previous media interview. "I never would've believed you if three years ago you told me," she sings. "I'd be here writing this song / But here I am, next to you / The sky's more blue in Malibu." The song will be featured on her yet-untitled album which she recorded with producer/multi-instrumentalist Oren Yoel.

Cyrus told Rolling Stone magazine in a previous interview that this record is a reflection of her love for humanity though her attitude is still the same. She still is the same person who does not care about what people think about her, but presently her focus is not on that. She is more focused on how to spread love.

"This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don't give a f---, but right now is not a time to not give a f--- about people," Cyrus told the magazine. "I'm giving the world a hug and saying, 'Hey, look. We're good – I love you.' And I hope you can say you love me back."

Her last album was a 2015 release “Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz,” where an emotional Cyrus wrote ballad-kind of songs about her goldfish Pablo, her other pet pig and a dead dog. She collaborated with Flaming Lips on this album. Her previous hit album was a hip-hop heavy 2013 release “Bangerz,” which had famous songs including “Wrecking Ball” and “Adore You.” Cyrus said that her new album will be more of a rock-and-roll kind, and which will be different from her previous two albums.
