Reports said that Google next-edition Nexus device would be the Nexus 4 made by LG with a newly enlarged standard 32GB internal storage, 4G LTE and possibly be the first smartphone to run on the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS.

The next-gen Nexus speculations is amid other reports that it would be a Nexus 5 to be made by another manufacturer, although the Web site Slashgear said the more possible scenario is the release of the newly enhanced version of the Nexus 4 at the Google I/O 2013 in May.

The next-gen Nexus 4 will likely work with new radio bands for networks that are incompatible with the current handset, which work with AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S. but only supports speeds up to HSPA+.

Ubergizmo added that it would have no design or internal hardware changes except for sporting a 32GB internal storage and 4G LTE network compatibility. It also cited the device likely sporting the Android 5.0 OS, although Google has not yet officially announced the roll out of the Key Lime Pie.

However, the annual Google I/O developer conference has been associated with yearly software updates. Besides the possible launch of the Key Lime Pie in the Nexus 4 LTE, there are also rumours that Google will announce the Babel messaging service at the conference which starts May 15.
