Nexus 5: Google CEO Larry Page and LG CEO Koo Bon Joon Meeting Sparks Rumors on Collaborative Work with Upcoming Smart Phone
The recent meeting between Google CEO Larry Page and LG CEO Koo Bon Joon in Seoul, South Korea has sparked up the rumors on another collaborative work to release the much anticipated Nexus 5 smart phone. The two giant companies reportedly discussed plans on improving their business deal and pairing up to create new televisions and Glass-like devices.
LG looks forward to expanding the Google partnership with releasing more Google TV television soon as their next-generation OLED TVs, another Nexus device and the manufacture of the Google Glass. Currently, LG is vying against rival companies like Apple and Samsung in the smart phone market and the company's teamwork with Google may boost image credit and even more smart phone releases in 2013.
Details on the Nexus 5 smart phone still remains a mystery with numerous reports only speculating on the possible features and specifications of the upcoming device like a larger screen display with the size of 5 inches or more and the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system. Some device enthusiasts are expecting the Nexus 5 to be unveiled at the Google I/O conference from May 15 to May 15 in San Francisco, California.
Furthermore, other reports have indicated that Google is currently working on the upgraded version of the Nexus 4. The smart phone will be incorporated with new features such as LTE connectivity, CDMA compatibility and 32GB internal storage capacity.
The new version of the Nexus 4 smart phone will be able to work on the Verizon and Sprint networks. However, Google or LG has not given any comments to confirm or deny the claims on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smart phones.
