As more clues point to the production and release of the Nexus 5--which, according to some reports may be marketed as the Nexus 4 2013--the biggest is the release date. Sources have pointed the last week of October as the potential timeframe when the public can expect the LG Nexus to be unveiled.

According to Geek, this seems like the most plausible date given all the leaks that have already been reported on. The LG-D820, the model for the supposed Nexus 5, has been leaked either with the FCC passing certifications for WiFi and Bluetooth, and even via a Google leaked video that's already unavailable.

Another Nexus device, the Nexus 10 tablet may also make an appearance during that timeframe. GSM Arena even reported on a specific date, which is October 30.

Nexus 5 to debut with Android 4.4 Kitkat

Those who have been wanting to try their hands on the Android 4.4 Kitkat may just get their wish once the Nexus 5 or Nexus 4 (2013) gets released.

Gotta Be Mobile found a couple of leaked shots via GadgetHelpline, which showcases an exclusive hands-on of the Android 4.4 Kitkat software. In the exclusive, GadgetHelpline gets into the nitty gritty of what can be found in the Nexus 5 Android 4.4 Kitkat software.

The new additions include wireless payments for NFC, Wireless display for a Miracast feature, and some capabilities to hinder background apps from incurring additional data.

However, a big chunk of the features are pretty much similar to what is already seen with the Jellybean OS. But you can expect new Google apps such as Drive for file storage, Keep for notes, QuickOffice for texts, and Drive for cloud storage.

Better than the price tag of iPhone 5S

To make the Nexus 5 or Nexus 4 (2013) even more exciting, CNet reports that sources have pointed to a better deal for those who want a new smartphone that won't cost an arm and a leg like the iPhone 5S.

The only catch here is that the reports may be referring to U.K. prices, which can mean that it may be different for the U.S. A quick computation of the possible price would pegged it to at least a $350 off the iPhone 5S price.

This will not be surprising, since fans have already enjoyed a $299 price tag for an unlocked Nexus 4.

Still, this can bring up the hype for Android phones, considering that the potential affordability of the Nexus 5 won't cut down on the features and specs. Past reports have already pointed the Nexus 5 to have the following specs: 5-inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, an 8-megapixel rear and a 1.2-megapixel camera, LTE and NFC capability, and 2GB of RAM.

Some new rumoured specs include the Miracast, a technology that lets you project your Android screen unto your TV. Wireless charging may also be a capability of the Nexus 5.
