Screenshots of an alleged Asus Live Chat support emerged online, hinting the upcoming Nexus 7 2 which will be launched by the end of July 2013. An Asus employee leaked information regarding some technical specifications of the Android tablet.

ASUS Live Chat Support

The screenshot revealed a conversation inside the Asus Live Chat Support between a support representative and an anonymous person. Asus K009 is the main topic asked by the anonymous person and when would it be publicly released.

According to the support representative, Asus K009 would be out before the 2nd quarter of 2013 ends. The Asus employee also hinted the basic technical specifications of Asus K009, including the display resolution, CPU type, internal storage and Android version.

Although exciting, there is now way to determine if the live chat was an actual conversation or simply a hoax. Asus K009 leaked recently from Bluetooth SIG ,running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and speculated to be the upcoming Nexus 7 2.

Technical Specifications Revealed


The Asus support representative detailed some basic technical specifications from the Asus Live Chat and it includes:

- 7 inches of LED display

- 1900 x 1200 pixel resolution

- Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

- Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 / Snapdragon APQ8064 CPU

- 2GB of RAM

- 32GB on-board storage

- 5MP primary camera

- 1.2MP secondary camera

- 4000 mAh battery pack

- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE and GSM support

The internal specifications and features of Asus K009 are not yet available for the public, but it confirmed some recent leaks connected to the tablet such as the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Bluetooth 4.0. Reviewers online are not yet sure if the details are 100 per cent true, but they feel that the information leaked may be legit.

Asus K009 / Nexus 7 2 is expected to be released by the end of July 2013.
