The 43rd Annual American Music Awards (AMAs) are due to be held next month and the stars from the music industry are all geared up for the mega event. The latest buzz is that Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Walk the Will will also perform at this event.
Jonas, Lovato and Walk the Will join the bandwagon of the artists who will perform at the AMAs along with Jennifer Lopez, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood and One Direction, amongst others.
Lopez will be hosting this year’s event for the first time, People Magazine revealed. The 2014 AMAs was hosted by Pitbull. However, she has been performing at the AMAs from past 15 years and is set to rock the stage with her performance this year too.
Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles has been chosen as the venue for the 2015 AMAs that will be held on Nov. 22, 2015. Pop star Taylor Swift is leading the nominations this year as she has been nominated in six award categories owing to the success of her albums “Bad Blood” and “1989.”
She is closely followed by The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran with five nominations each. Swift has won 16 career AMAs so far and if she manages to win all the six AMAs this year, she will break Whitney Houston’s record of being the AMAs' most decorated artist.
The Weeknd, Swift and Sheeran are competing against each other to win the Best Artist of the Year trophy.
1D, now comprising of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, will perform their new song “Perfect” from their upcoming studio album “Made In The A.M.” at the AMAs this year. The album is expected to be released on Nov. 13. The band won three trophies in the 2014 AMAs.

The nominees for the 2015 American Music Awards were announced live on “GMA” on Oct. 13
ABC Breaking NewsProduced by Dick Clark Productions, the AMAs will be aired live on ABC on Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EST.
