Nick Young's GF Iggy Azalea Tops Maxim Australia’s Hot 100, But The ‘Fancy’ Hit Maker Isn’t Too Pleased About Her Magazine Cover
Iggy Azalea has topped Maxim Australia's Hot 100 list. While some girls would be delighted to rule the list out of 100 beautiful and sexy ladies, Azalea isn't so happy about it because her Australian management team has sent an old photo of her for the magazine to use on its cover.
The flawless singer-rapper expressed her sentiments on Twitter on Oct. 17. She posted a series of tweets, which she later deleted, and criticised the Australian division of her label for giving Maxim Australia permission to use an old picture of her. In the picture, Azalea was wearing a gold one-piece that only covers her private parts.
"This morning, I see you've allowed Maxim Australia to buy an image from a 2011 Complex mag shoot and put it on the cover," Azalea wrote. She added that it is flattering that the men's magazine would want her on the cover, but it would have been proper if she had been asked properly. Azalea said that a photo shoot should have been done for a magazine cover and not an old picture.
Despite the little mix-up, Azalea thanked Maxim Australia for such honour. She said she would have done an interview and photo shoot for the magazine had she been asked.
Apparently, this is not the first time that her Australian management team has allowed an old picture of her to be sold. According to Azalea, her Aussie label had once permitted an old image of her to be retailed to Cosmopolitan Australia in its August issue.
Azalea beat "Wolf of Wall Street" actor Margot Robbie by a hair's breadth. Robbie came in second on the list. Journalist and TV personality Samantha Armytage is at the third spot. Beauty queen Jennifer Hawkins and model Jessica Gomes took the fourth and fifth places, respectively. Merredin-native model Nicole Trunfio is at number six. Singer Jessica Mauboy, Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr, former Hi-5 member Lauren Brant, and actress Yvonne Stravhovski occupied the final four places in the top 10. Maxim Australia November issue will be available in store from Oct. 16 to Nov. 20.
