Nicole Kidman didn’t forbid Keith Urban from doing sex scenes for his music video “Somewhere in My Car.” The A-list actress said if her country music star husband wanted to do intimate scenes, she wouldn’t stop him.

Urban, 46, recently released the music video for his single, and it was described by some critics as risqué and hot. The video sees two actors getting intimate inside a car, with the female model even about to go topless before the scene cuts to another.

The country crooner didn’t participate in the sexy scenes, but was rather filmed singing.

When asked why he didn’t play the male actor in his own video, he explained that he wanted people to focus on the lyric instead of him.

“I think people can ‘feel’ the lyric much more than if they’re watching me. Then it’s like, ‘hey, that’s not Nic?’ instead of hearing the song,” he said.

There were still some speculations that he didn’t do the scenes because his wife forbid him to, which Kidman herself denied.

“No, I’m an actor, I would let him, of course,” she told “The Kyle and Jackie O Show.”

“I think for him, he doesn’t feel comfortable acting at all,” she further explained. “Whenever anyone gets him to try to act he’s like, ‘Ahh no.’ He doesn’t like it at all.”

That’s just fine, though. He can leave the acting to his multiple Academy Award winner wife, while he keeps earning Grammys.

Although the husband and wife have different passions, they don’t lack for support from each other. Kidman, who recently lost her father Dr Anthony Kidman to an accident, said Urban has been her “rock” while she’s in mourning.

“He has been such a rock for me, through everything, particularly the last few weeks. He’s just been divine; so full of love and support, as have my children, as has my sister and my mum, we’ve been through a lot. We’ve really had to lean on each other and support each other and hold each other close,” she told Mamamia.

“But having small children and having Keith has been just wonderful. To hold onto Sunny and Faith, I just feel so glad that I was able to have them. It took a long time to get there but I have a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old and this really, really great guy. I’m lucky.”

Her father passed away early September after falling in his hotel room in Singapore during a visit with his daughter Antonia. Urban cancelled some of his shows in the U.S. upon hearing the news so he could be with Kidman.
