'The Night Of' episode 7 spoilers: Naz's mother has doubts about son; Box testifies

Box will testify in court in “The Night Of” episode 7. A preview video released online by HBO shows some of the scenes featured in the next episode. With the State presenting all the evidence against Naz; even his mother will begin to have doubts about her son’s innocence.

What appears to be one of the first questions the prosecution will ask Box (Bill Camp) while he takes the stand in court is what made him so sure that Naz (Riz Ahmed) is the killer. The police sergeant points out that there was a “mountain” of evidence stacked against the accused.

However, the police did not have a confession to go along with the evidence. Box explains that he would rather have evidence rather than a confession while handling a murder case.

There appears to be psychologist who will be called in to testify about the brutal murder. An elderly gentleman will testify that it appears as though the defendant and the victim were “playing a game.”

With so much evidence that will be presented in court in “The Night Of” episode 7, Naz’s mother will begin to wonder whether her son is guilty. She can be seen asking in the preview video about whether she had raised “an animal.” The parents will have to come up with a huge sum of money in order to pay their lawyers. They appear to be selling some family gold in order to raise the money they need.

More clues about the murder could be revealed in the next episode. Some of the scenes from the night of the murder are featured in the preview video.

Meanwhile the drama in prison will continue in “The Night Of” episode 7. Naz is also wonder why his defence lawyers are fighting so hard for him in court.
