'The Night Shift' Season 2 'Best Laid Plans' Spoilers: The San Antonio Memorial ER Deals With Casualties Of A Huge Explosion

"The Night Shift" Season 2 will air the episode titled "Best Laid Plans" on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EST on NBC. It will feature the show’s cast including Eoin Macken (Dr. T.C. Callahan), Ken Leung (Dr. Topher Zia), Jill Flint (Dr. Jordan Alexander), Jeananne Goossen (Dr. Krista Bell-Hart), Robert Bailey Jr. (Dr. Paul Cummings), J.R. Lemon (Kenny), Brendan Fehr (Dr. Drew Alister), Merle Dandridge (Gwen Gaskin) and Freddy Rodriguez (Michael Ragosa).

This episode is about a huge explosion that will have lots of casualties that the San Antonio Memorial Hospital must attend to. It will also give viewers a glimpse of Paul’s father.

TV Guide reports that in "Best Laid Plans," there will be a downtown gas explosion. Drew, T.C. and Gwen will go to the scene and do their best to aid the victims there. Bennett, a former Army Medic, will offer his assistance to T.C. and his teammates.

Back at the San Antonio Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room, or “ER,” Topher must lead the night shift team, including Ragosa, Krista and Jordan in treating the casualties of the said explosion. As for Paul, not only must he adjust to his first night in surgery rotation, but he must also deal with his father who will arrive unexpectedly. Paul’s father is a top neurosurgeon who will clash with lead surgeon Scott.

Guest stars of this episode include Scott Wolf (lead surgeon Scott), James McDaniel of "The Good Wife" (Dr. Julian Cummings) and Duke Davis Roberts of "Justified" (Bennett/Mills). The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb also reports that Patrick Arrellin (Firefighters / Paramedic / EMT), Caitlin Harris (Alex), Brian Barela (Police Officer), Abriel Strachan (Visiting Teenager), Tatanka Means (Paramedic Gonzalez), Jerry Kernion (Christian Boone), Amy Stack (Patient / Visitor) and Akshay Patel (Douche Bag - uncredited) will make an appearance in this episode.

Spoiler TV reports that after "Best Laid Plans," the next "The Night Shift" Season 2 episode is "Parenthood." It is the show’s ninth episode and it will air on April 13, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. EST on NBC.
