Before the official announcement and reveal of Microsoft's Xbox One, there have been talks circulating about the possibility of Halo 5 being part of the game title lineup when the console launches.

After the May 21 event, several game titles have already been confirmed, from AAA games Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, to exclusive titles such as Quantum Break from Alan Wake developer.

This time, Microsoft may also be hosting two TV series, one of which is an exclusive for-Xbox One release while the other is a tie-in with an exclusive game title.

This means that, instead of the previously reported Halo 5 that would be coming to the Xbox One, people can now expect a Halo TV series that will be headed by Steven Spielberg.

Game Informer reports that, while Spielberg's role in the drama is still unconfirmed, he will be at the helm. The report also brings up 343 Industries having an involvement with the series.

Whether the series will be a continuation of or influenced by the Halo web series, Forward Unto Dawn, remains to be cleared.

Quantum Break: Another game with a TV series?

It seems as though TV series tie-ups with games is becoming a trend, which was first seen with Defiance, which has recently announced a second season for its series shown in Syfy.

Now, a game exclusive for Xbox One, Quantum Break, is also gearing up for a TV tie-up that reportedly interacts with the game. Remedy Entertainment's Quantum Break has also been sighted with a trailer for its upcoming TV tie-in.

If the trailer is anything to go by, it's looks like a mysterious game, as the series seems to be a mix of real-life actors and CGI footage. EuroGamer adds that Remedy Entertainment aims to blur the lines separating TV and gaming with the all-new drama.

Check out the trailer and see if it's a game that's worthy of calling itself a merging of gaming and TV.
