Numerous reports about the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS features and specs has been circulating on the Internet as well as leaked images. The latest reports suggest that the upcoming 41MP PureView camera phone will be available in the U.K. as an exclusive offer at O2 with the 64GB storage version.

It has been previously reported that the Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS will only have a 32GB internal storage capacity without the microSD card slot to expand memory storage. However, it appears the device enthusiasts can acquire a 64GB version that was confirmed on the Telefonica press statement.

The statement indicates that Telefonia, O2's parent company, signed a deal with the Finnish smartphone manufacturer to offer the 64GB version of the Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS on the company's networks in Europe and Latin America. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the Telefonica brands, including O2, will put up for sale a "Nokia Eros 64GB" this 2013.

A portion of the Telefonica statement reads: "Nokia Lumia Eros brings stunning innovations only found in the SLR cameras so far, like a 41 Mpixel sensor, 6 lenses, and high resolution zoom. Taking excellent photos have never been so easy, as complex settings are turned into easy adjustments with immediately visible results."

"Eros 64Gb, for Telefónica customers, will have more than double capacity than the Eros standard version, extending the capability for customers to store large amount of content, up to 4,000 images or 6 hours of very high quality Full-HD video." The document further stated that the smartphone's 64GB version will be put up for sale in September but the pricing details have not yet been announced.

Telefónica functions in parts of Europe under the O2 brand, the Movistar network in Spain and Latin America where the local network offer is branded as Vivo except in Brazil. Telefónica has already confirmed last June the one-year combined marketing strategy with Microsoft to aid in increasing the Windows Phone 8 handset sales in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Chile and Brazil. "It will encourage growth in market demand for Windows Phone 8 while working with suppliers to ensure the availability of high quality devices," the company stated.
