Nokia will reportedly release a protective cover for the Lumia 620 that is waterproof and dustproof. Sander Teunissen, the B2B Sales Manager for Nokia Netherlands, posted a message on "Twitter" announcing the arrival of the Nokia Lumia 620 IP54 cover very soon.

"Great news - IP54 protective cover 9water- & dustproof! on it's way for Nokia Lumia 620!" Sander Teunissen wrote on the Twitter account @teunii.

What is the Nokia Lumia 620 IP54 cover? It is the Ingress Protection rating that describes how much protection the cover can provide from solid and liquid materials. According to the IP table, the number 54 is the level protection of the cover that can repel dust and water spray.

However, the protective cover on the Nokia Lumia 620 is not advised to be dipped into a pool of water. The waterproof protective cover is considered as the marketing scheme of Nokia for the Lumia 620.
