Nokia started rolling out the 1308 update last March to its Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices such as the Nokia Lumia 920. However, users complained about connectivity issues right after the installation of the firmware and Nokia decided to temporarily stop the update's roll out in order to fix the problems.

The majority of US carrier AT&T users shared their not-so-nice experience with the connectivity issues resulting to either missed or dropped phone calls and very slow data speeds. In a conducted poll, the outcome showed 71% of AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 users experienced the connectivity issues with the 1308 update.

Furthermore, the Nokia Lumia 920 users from other countries are reportedly encountering similar problems that the 1308 update brings to the smart phone. Nokia has already recognized the problems that disappointed a bunch of Nokia Lumia users who excitedly updated their smart phones with the latest firmware.

The Finnish company is currently working hard to resolve the problem as soon as possible and their first step was putting a halt to the distribution of the 1308 update to the AT&T users. There is still no confirmation on when will the 1308 update roll out resume or if a fix will be given to the Nokia Lumia users affected with the firmware's issues.

Nokia assured the device enthusiasts that a fix will be provided soon and even excitedly announced that a new update will arrive in the near future. Nokia Care US informed the Lumia users using the social networking site "Twitter" about the update issues and the repair.

"We're aware & update has been temporarily paused. New update will be available in the near future. We'll keep you posted," Nokia Care US wrote on the Twitter account @NokiaCareUS.
