AT&T will begin to offer the Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone in mid-September at a price of $99 on a 2-year contract. The latest addition of the Windows Phone 8 handset will make the U.S. carrier the leading supporter of the Microsoft mobile platform.

"Nokia will be taking its Lumia 925 handset to the AT&T network by the middle of next month," Daniel Rubino of Windows Phone Central stated, reported ValueWalk. The Web site further added that the price of the Nokia Lumia 920, another Lumia range offered at AT&T, will drop to $49 when the Nokia Lumia 925 becomes available on the network.

The Nokia Lumia 925 is available with internal storage capacities of 16 and 32 GB. ValueWalk claimed that the 16 GB version in black colour option will be offered at the AT&T network.

AT&T currently offers four Windows Phone handsets coming from the Finnish manufacturer: the Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 1020. Nokia and AT&T gradually phased out the Nokia Lumia 820 due to the smartphone's low sales on the U.S. network.

The Nokia Lumia 925 features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen display with Gorilla Glass 2, 1280 x 768p resolution, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8.7-MP rear-facing camera with PureView technology. It has a thin, aluminium body design with a polycarbonate back comparable to the look of the Nokia Lumia 920.

A 2000 mAh battery powers the Nokia Lumia 925 plus a free 7 GB SkyDrive cloud storage capacity. Other features include the ClearBlack technology, High Brightness Mode, Sunlight Readability and Wireless Charging with the use of an accessory cover.

Nokia has been plugging the 8.7-MP PureView camera technology in the Nokia Lumia 925 in video ads released. The smartphone camera boasts f/2.0 aperture, Autofocus, LED flash and recording capability with 1080p HD video at 30 fps.

The Finnish smartphone manufacturer released the funny video ads "Nokia Lumia 925: Night time photos you'll actually want to share" and the "Hang-over"-like ad called "Nokia Lumia 925: Photos to remember from the night you can't." The video ads are Nokia's marketing approach in attracting more consumers to buy the Nokia Lumia 925 Windows Phone 8 handset.
