The new fingerprint scanning technology makes the Android-based HTC One Max one of the smartphones in the market having the impressive feature. The leaked ePrice image reveals a black curved rectangle fingerprint sensor below the HTC One Max camera and based on the leaked image, the HTC One Max has a comparable design to the HTC One but with a larger size.
The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is not the first company to place a control feature at the device's rear. Recently, South Korean company LG placed the oddly placed the power button and volume controls behind the LG G2 smartphone.
HTC's fingerprint security scanner on the Max is expected to bestow the device a gain against rival device Samsung Galaxy Note. The two devices will certainly be competing against each other in terms of power and performance.
The HTC One Max will be strengthened with the bigger screen size of 5.9-inches in an aluminum unibody design. Other rumoured features and specs include the UltraPixel rear camera technology, 2.1MP front-facing camera, the power of a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3300mAh battery, BoomSound stereo speakers and available internal storage capacities of 16GB and 32GB.
Additionally, there are reports circulating about HTC One Max skipping over the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system version and have the Android 4.3 update instead. HTC has not given any announcement yet on the device's precise release date, pricing scheme and the availability in other markets outside of Asia.
However, German mobile Web site Mobile Greeks previously reported that HTC One Max will start hitting retail stores in September. The HTC One Max is anticipated to make its first official appearance at the 2013 IFA trade shows in Berlin, Germany from September 6 to September 11 followed with a worldwide release before the month of September ends.
