Optus recently revealed the price and plan details for the Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone. Pre-orders can now be placed for the Windows Phone handset ahead of the in-store availability schedule on August 1 with an outright price of $624.

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be available on a variety of Optus mobile phone plans from the $50 to $100 Optus My Plan. It appears the hero plan for the Lumia 925 is the $60 Optus My Plan which includes 600 minutes of voice calls, unlimited SMS, MMS messages to Australian mobiles and 1GB of data per month over a two-year contract.

The Nokia device will be compatible as well with the Optus 4G network. However, the Optus Web site informs the consumers in regional areas that delivery dates are subject to changes.

The Optus Web site pre-order page reads: "For customers who pre-order by 29 July 2013, Optus aims to deliver the Nokia Lumia 925 from 1st August 2013 in Metropolitan areas and from 2 August 2013 in Regional areas. Delivery dates shown on this page are estimates only and are subject to change. In the meantime, cancellation fees may apply for your chosen rate plan."

Other retailers that currently sell the Nokia Lumia 925 are Harvey Norman, Allphones, JB Hi-Fi, Network Communications, Leading Edge, Dick Smith and Fone Zone. Telstra also offers the Nokia Lumia 925 with the $60 Every Day Connect plan with a $6 monthly handset repayment for a total of 24 months.

Telstra's plan includes $600 worth of voice calls, MMS messages, unlimited SMS and 1GB of data per month. The Nokia Lumia 925 at Telstra will have the same outright price as Optus which is $624.

Main features and specs of the Nokia Lumia 925 are the 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen display with 1280x768p resolution, 2.25 D sculpted Gorilla 2 Glass, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity and 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage.

The smartphone's camera boasts with the 8.7MP Pureview technology, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), Autofocus, LED flash and 1080p HD video at 30fps. The 2000mAh battery powers the Windows Phone handset to experience the other impressive features such as ClearBlack, High Brightness Mode, Sunlight Readability, Super Sensitive Touch for hand glove or nail usage and Wireless Charging through an accessory cover.
