Telstra, the leading telecommunications company in Australia, has revealed the plan details and price for the Nokia Lumia 925. The Telstra director of device management, Andrew Vollard, summarized the Windows Phone 8 handset's plan and pricing at the exchange blog of the company.

"With the Australian launch of the Nokia Lumia 925 announced today, it's fair to say that phones have come a long way since the year 2000 when the Nokia 3310 was launched and Aussies became addicted to Snake and excited by monotone ringtones. The Nokia Lumia 925 -- which features a metal body for improved robustness and a slimmer build than its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 920 -- will be available at Telstra stores from Tuesday 30 July," Vollard stated.

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be offered at $6 per month with Telstra's $60 Every Day Connect plan for a total of $66 per month payment on a 24-month contract. The Telstra plan consists of $600 worth of calls and MMS messages with unlimited SMS messages and 1GB of data per month.

Other Nokia Lumia 925 plan choices available at Telstra are the $80, $100 and $130 Every Day Connect plans without the requirement to place the monthly handset repayment. Telstra will offer as well the Nokia Lumia 925 with an outright price of $624 which is a $75 worth of savings compared to Nokia's official recommended retail price of $699 on the smartphone.

Nokia has officially confirmed the availability of the Nokia Lumia 925 in Australia. Aside from Telstra, Optus will offer as well the latest Lumia range starting August 1. The smartphone will be put up for sale beginning July 17 in other Australian retail stores such as Harvey Norman, Allphones, Network Communications, Dick Smith, Leading Edge, JB Hi-Fi and Fone Zone.
