Nokia Lumia 928 New Pic, Specs Leaked: Release Date on Verizon Nears?
Nokia Lumia 928 on Verizon is fast shaping up as new details of the upcoming smartphone emerged anew, suggesting that the release date of the Windows-powered device is coming very soon.
In a new photo published by ETradeSupply.com, the Lumia 928 was shown looking exactly like its predecessor, the Lumia 920, but with some minor profile re-arrangements.
Easily recognisable is the Verizon logo on the right side of the black unit and parallel with the Nokia brand on the left.
Just above these brandings, the speaker and the front camera sensor are placed while the microphone is located at the lower portion of the phone, just a little below of the device's capacitive keys.
Note that in the Lumia 920, the speaker and the front cam were located right next to the Nokia logo while the microphone was hidden a bit on the side of the unit.
The 928 is a tad taller than its older sibling due mainly to the slight redesign and Nokia's decision to use a thinner screen display, which is the Super AMOLED panel that consumers have come to identify with Samsung's top-notch Galaxy smartphones like the Galaxy S4 and the soon to rollout Galaxy Note 3.
The new 4.5-inch AMOLED screen has a higher refresh rate compared to the 920's PureMotion HD IPS LCD components and should make for a thinner and lighter Nokia flagship this time around.
The 920 has gained sufficient following when it was pushed out by Nokia in late 2012 but one major gripe about the phone is its heavy footprint, which is more reminiscent of the smartphone era that has long faded away.
The 928 will carry over the powerful specs that delivered decent sales figures for Nokia though experts are convinced that the mobile phone's already impressive PureView camera will get a welcome addition - a Xenon flash.
With the new details allowed to leak, it is safe to assume that the Nokia Lumia 928 is nearing its debut with Verizon, probably a bit earlier than the anticipated release date of Apple's iPhone 5S and its budget version.
