The serious publication known for its sober shots of politicians or gritty real life concerns gets Angelina Jolie to grace their most glamorous edition ever. Photographed in a movie star pose, the actress was probably the most beautiful cover the 78-year-old publication has ever had.

Originally if you pick a copy of "Newsweek" it is either centered on political and global issues. More frequently about wars in the Middle East or real life newsbreaks. But this time, the 36-year-old actress who works relentlessly as a UN ambassador was featured for the Dec. 5 issue.

Angie the A-list actress and the philanthropist tirelessly jets around the globe to bring aid to some of the poorest and war-stricken countries. Most of the time unmindful of the dangers of how crossing borders might bring her.

In the magazine Jolie discussed about her directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey." The setting of the film was a romance during a war time in Bosnia in the 1990's.

During her "60 Minutes" interview last Sunday aired exclusively on CBS she discussed about making another war film, this time focusing in Afghanistan.

"I was thinking and meditating on these international themes of violence against women, lack of intervention and how human beings are changed and warped by war and how some people come out stronger and some people are truly broken," the actress said in her interview with Christiane Amanpour.

Although her attempts to shift a bit from her career seem like a good move, quite recently a Croatian journalist claims that Angie stole the story for "In the Land of Blood and Honey" from him.

According to RadarOnline, James J. Braddock claims that the movie was based on the article he wrote and published in 2007. In the lawsuit, he stated similarities between his work and the story plot of Angie's movie.

Braddock states that the female subject in his work and Jolie's movie has both been faced with abuse and rape by soldiers and later on becomes a servant to the camp's headquarters.
