Former world No. 4 Thomas Enqvist said Novak Djokovic has truly dominated this year’s tennis competition in what the Swede described as his “best season ever.”

Enqvist, a former professional tennis player from Sweden and a winner of 19 titles including three ATP World Tour Masters 1000, believes Djokovic is playing the best tennis of his life in this season. “When he gets on those rolls it’s very difficult to stop,” Enqvist told The Sport Review. “He’s even more complete than he was in 2011.”

Djokovic has been on a hot streak ever since winning his 10th Grand Slam title at the US Open in August, where he defeated Roger Federer. The world No. 1 also claimed back-to-back tournament wins at the China Open and the Shanghai Rolex Masters. Since 2011, Djokovic has only lost two matches between the US Open and the end of the season. Over the past few weeks, he swept both tournaments while winning all 20 sets against 10 opponents that featured Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Rafael Nadal, and four other top-20 opponents.

“In the last two tournaments in Asia, he won Beijing without losing more than three games in one set and it went the same way in Shanghai as well,” Enqvist added. “He’s obviously unbelievably confident and playing the best tennis of his life.”

Earlier this month, Djokovic admitted that this year was indeed his best season ever. Djokovic said the amazing records he has set this season and all his achievements in previous years make him play his best tennis, reports Yahoo Sports.

With the way the Serb champ is playing, it is expected he will add another title to his record as he wraps up his season with schedules at the upcoming Paris Masters and The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London next month.
