'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 spoilers: Executive producers tease on young Captain Hook, Emilie de Ravin's pregnancy and airing schedule
“Once Upon a Time” Season 5 will introduce a new face as ABC’s fairy tale drama series explore on Captain Hook’s past. Another thing to look forward to in the new season is Belle’s storyline given that actress Emilie de Ravin, who portrays the OUAT character, revealed about her pregnancy on Twitter.

TVLine reports that “Once Upon a Time” executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis teased about what’s in store for characters Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) in the new season at the New York Comic-Con panel held on Friday, Oct. 9. Horowitz revealed that Captain Hook will get on an adventure with Regina Mills/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) in an upcoming episode.
Kitsis teased that the OUAT fans will see Captain Hook as a little boy and his father through flashback scenes. The show’s exploration on the childhood of Captain Hook will also feature Hook’s father even though it will be through flashback scenes.
As for OUAT character Belle, Horowitz and Kitsis mull over on the concept of incorporating Emilie de Ravin’s pregnancy into her character and relationship with Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) in the fifth season’s storyline. E Online reports that Australian actress Emilie de Ravin, 33, shared about expecting her first child with boyfriend Eric Bilitch on her Twitter account @emiliederavin.
“No decision will be made on that front until the latter half of the season,” the OUAT executive producers stated. “One way or the other, something’s gonna get done,” Kitsis further added.
Meanwhile, Horowitz and Kitsis talked about the slightly different episode airing schedule for the upcoming split season. Horowitz confirmed that “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 will be airing 10 nights with a two-hour night on Nov. 15.
Horowitz further teased that a part of the upcoming two-hour episode will feature on the adventure of “Brave” princess character Merida (Amy Manson) along with Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Ruby (Meghan Ory). Another exciting highlight that the OUAT fans should look forward to in season 5 is the 100th episode of the fantasy-drama series.
Horowitz confirmed that the 100th episode of “Once Upon a Time” will kick off in the second half of season 5 in March 2016. “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 returns with episode 4 titled “The Broken Kingdom,” which will center on King Arthur’s betrayal, the Excalibur swork and the Dark One’s dagger, on Sunday night, Oct. 18, at 8/7c on ABC.
