‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 5 spoilers: Sneak peek videos show Rumpel building a portal; Dorothy is back

Two sneak peek videos from “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 episode 16 have been released online. One of the videos show Rumpelstiltskin building a portal to Storybrooke for Hades. Meanwhile, a flashback scene shows Dorothy confronting the Wicked Witch.

One of the scenes shows an impatient Hades (Greg Germann) telling Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) to work faster in building a portal to Storybrooke. Mr. Gold responds by saying that creating a portal is not simple and magic takes time.

Mr. Gold is curious to know why Hades needs a portal. With all his powers he has the ability come and go into any world of his choosing whenever he wishes. Hades tells Mr. Gold that although he can travel to anywhere he wants, he can’t bring anyone back alive. When the portal is ready, Hades asks that a doorway to Storybrooke be opened.

The video does not reveal which characters Hades wants to bring back to the Underworld to take on the heroes. The heroes have already caused Hades enough trouble in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 and the villain now plans to get his revenge.

Meanwhile, a flashback scene in the next episode will take the viewers back many years in Oz. The video shows Zelena (Rebecca Mader) looking into a mirror and she appears to be celebrating her birthday and thinking about her past. Just then, her flying monkey brings in Scarecrow.

Zelena reveals that she needs his brain for a time travel spell. She needs the right ingredients for the spell that include a symbol of innocence, such as a baby, symbols of love and courage and finally a symbol of wisdom.

The Wicked Witch will attempt to take away Scarecrow’s brain in the next episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 5, as a symbol of wisdom for her spell. Just then, Dorothy (Teri Reeves) enters the room to stop Zelena.
