One Direction's Harrry Styles Tweets About Westboro Baptist Church
One Direction is one of the many celebrities that have been targeted by Westboro Baptist Church. For those living under a rock, the said Christian community has been sending out hateful tweets and statements about various celebs calling them out as "sl*ts" and "f*gs." Finally, after all the hateful tweets, Harry Styles of 1D has spoken up about the hatemonger church.
Westboro Baptist Church has made a name for itself in todays' society as the most rude and insensitive Christians with heir hateful propagandas. From calling Taylor Swift a "sl*t" to members of One Direction "f*gs", it's not the least bit surprising why such church has been tweeted against not only by fans of Swift and 1D but many others.
The latest propaganda run by Westboro was that of picketing "Glee" star, Cory Monteith's funeral. Thankfully, the funeral was staged peacefully without interruptions from the said Christian community. However, the boys and fans of 1D didn't experience the same serenity following their concert last Friday at Missouri.
Last month, Westboro Baptist Church threatened to protest at the 1D concert at Kansas claiming the boys are "perverted" representations of "sin-chasing, fag-enabling, God-hating, Christ-rejecting" UK.
"These freaks and their fans think it's funny for these five perverts to grab each other's asses on stage," said the statement released by the group, adding, "They glamorize sin and make a mock of God's standards. Their one purpose is to encourage the youth of this generation to pursue every lust their evil hearts can imagine."
True to their threats, the group staged a picket at the 1D concert. While some "Directioners" were quick to send out equally hateful tweets to the group, Harry Styles had a different message.
"Despite the company outside, I believe in equal rights for everyone. I think God loves all. Thanks for coming to the show though," tweeted Styles.
Ironically, Westboro Baptist Church responded to Styles' tweet in a "loving" manner.
"@Harry_Styles Despite the company outside, I believe in equal rights. God loves all." Kisses to you Harry for bringing focus to God's word," stated the group.
Well, this won't be the last time the group would be staging hate propagandas given they claimed to protest against Train, 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block in the weeks to come.
