One Direction's Liam Payne to release solo music, collaborates with Lady Gaga, Little Mix & Selena Gomez writers and producers

One Direction may just been on hiatus, but the remaining members are taking this time to work on their separate careers. Liam Payne has just started work on his own single and is not getting help from his bandmates but is instead working with some other big names in music.

According to a registration with international music rights organisation BMI, which were acquired by Mirror UK, Liam is getting help from Grammy nominated songwriters Emily Warren, Nick Monson and Scott Harris. Between these three songwriters, hits for Lady Gaga, Little Mix, Selena Gomez and Britney Spears were created. The 23-year-old father-to-be appears to be in the best hands.

The publication also reported that one of Liam’s songs will be entitled “Myself,” although he already has enough tracks to fill a solo album. Calum Scott reportedly heard some of these songs and praised the same. "I was in the studio with Liam the other day,” he confirmed. “I heard a few of his songs. They are sounding amazing. I'd love to do something with him."

It has not been announced when his solo album will be released, but Liam did confirm that his new music will come soon. But despite his work on an individual sound, Liam also told a fan that he is completely sure that One Direction will break out of its hiatus and will work together as a band again. This was all during a Twitter question and answer with the singer, the tweets of which can be seen below.

None of the remaining band members -- Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles -- have said anything to the contrary, but have also been exploring their individual talents. Niall Horan has already released a successful single, entitled “This Town.” On the other hand, Louis performed on the X Factor UK stage with Steve Aoki to debut their collaboration, “Just Hold On.” Meanwhile, Harry Styles has finished work on his upcoming movie with Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy, “Dunkirk.” He is, however, also reportedly working on his own album, which is rumoured to be released in February.

Liam is expecting his first child with current girlfriend Cheryl, whom he first met on his 2008 X Factor UK audition. They first went public with their relationship in the latter part of 2015.
