Zayn Malik forgiven for leaving One Direction, Louis Tomlinson extends praise for former bandmate
Some odd years ago, there were five seemingly content members of One Direction -- until Zayn Malik decided to leave and the public witnessed an argument between ex-bandmates unfold on Twitter. But now, after all the drama has subsided, all the boys seem to be on the same page again.
In a recorded segment for “The Brits Are Coming” (via Mirror UK), 25-year-old Louis said nothing but good things for his old bandmate, Zayn. “[He] had an absolute smash with ‘Pillowtalk!’" he exclaimed. “It’s a weird feeling to see us all on our own, but it’s also nice to feel that you’ve got the support of the other lads.”
This statement came after it was revealed that Zayn was nominated for the Brit Awards. His successful hit is up against One Direction’s “History” for Best British Artist Video. “Pillowtalk” is also up against Little Mix’s “Shout Out To My Ex” for best single.

Almost two years ago, Zayn made the announcement that he was leaving One Direction permanently. There was apparent hostility after the 24-year-old solo musician left the boy band as an public online sparring ensued over Twitter. It started when Louis picked a fight with one of Zayn’s producer friend, Naughty Boy.
Afterwhich, Zayn went on defense and accused Louis of not having anything to do but keep tabs on his life.
Nevertheless, Louis seems to have put all things behind them. He, along with the remaining One Direction members -- Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne -- have been enjoying their respective solo careers. However, all four members are expected to make a reunion, with Niall even going on the record to appease any doubts of the same.
