OnePlus X vs. Nexus 6P: is there a winner?
They could be among the best in their class
Every smartphone wants to become famous as the best in its class and the OnePlus X and Google Nexus 6P are title contenders in the budget category and high-end category. Buyers will soon decide if these phones make it to the top.
OnePlus X and Google Nexus 6P have both been released. Both are highly regarded for their excellent specs and seem worth their price tags. But read on to further explore the two smartphones so you can decide which one you want.
Design
Available in glass and metal, the OnePlus X’s explicit design grabs the eyeballs. The smartphone has Android 5.1 at its core and is integrated with Oxygen UI that ignites its speedy performance. On the other hand, Google Nexus 6P is encased in an aluminium frame and is powered by Android 6.0, reported by Phonearena.
Display
At 5.0 inches, the OnePlus X’s screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels is indeed a treat to the eyes. The screen uses AMOLED technology and its multi-touch functions are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also features a proximity sensor and light sensor, stated by Phonearena.
Google Nexus 6P is lauded more for its 5.7 inch multi-touch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with AMOLED technology that offers 1440 x 2560 pixel resolutions for more defined pictures and videos.
Camera
Those seeking high standard cameras in smartphone should choose OnePlus X that comes with 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front-facing camera. Camera settings pack face detection, AutoFocus, geo tagging and CMOS image sensor features.
The Google Nexus 6P is also at par with its 12.3 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera, but with a dual LED flash that helps you take refined shots even in pitch dark.
Hardware
When you buy a phone, you look at the processor, in-built storage, memory system and others.The OnePlus X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with quad-core 2300 MHz, 3072 MB RAM and an inbuilt 16 GB.
On the other hand, Google Nexus 6P runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 with octa-core 2000 MHz processor, 3072 MB RAM and 128 GB internal memory.
Features are equally impressive but the OnePlus X is a budget device at US$249 (AU$348) which the Nexus 6P isn’t at US$649 (AU$908.25).
