Four months after it stormed the airwaves, Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has added six new series in its programming and renewed four more hit series, thereby providing the viewers a longer list of shows that inspire and allow them to relate to as they get more real.

“We’re excited to give our audience more of what they love along with new series that are fun and relatable,” OWN chief creative officer, Lisa Erspamer said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We guarantee each new show will get viewers talking."

The new series that have tallied up to the increasing number of hours of television program include “Confronting…”, “I Owe You My Life”, My Mom and Me”, Unfaithful Stories of Betrayal” and “Sweetie Pies” and "Louie Spencer Dance Project".

“Confronting…” documents the mediation process between a victim and offender, allowing the audience to see the circumstances that serve as cathartic gateways for both parties to achieve closure. It is produced by Relatively Real.

“I Owe You My Life” by Skip Film features people from all walks of life who have become real-life heroes after surviving dangerous situations.

Guided by a therapist as a fixed element of the show, “My Mom and Me” looks into the unusual relationships between a mother and her daughter, featuring stories of a child parenting her mother. The show is produced by Firecracker Films.

True Entertainment’s “Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal” explores the stories on how romantic couples deal with emotional upsets after uncovering infidelities.

Created by Pilgrim Films and Television, a docu-series entitled “Sweetie Pies” features former backup dancer Robbie Montgomery who has moved from being a soul singer to a soul food restaurant owner. It showcases the events and challenges Montgomery has to go through with her family leading up to a second location of her New York restaurant.

“Louie Spencer Dance Project “ is a reality show produced by Kinetic Content shows how a choreographer who once worked with Mariah Carey has taken on the Broadway Dance Center and the challenges as he was overhauling its curriculum.

OWN Chief Executive Officer, Christina Norman vows to provide more shows that would give the people an aspect of their lives.

Norman told The Hollywood Reporter: “Our new shows will continue to bring viewers more compelling characters sharing their real life journeys that entertain, engage and inspire.”

Meanwhile the network official also confirmed that OWN has renewed four more shows in addition to Lisa Ling's "Our America" the net had earlier announced. Along with the six new series, OWN’s four pick ups include “Ask Oprah's All Stars”, Enough Already! with Peter Walsh”, In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman”, and “Oprah Presents Master Class”.

OWN is a joint venture between Winfrey and Discovery Networks. The new line-up came almost a month before the final episode of the original “The Oprah Winfrey Show” scheduled on May 25 as earlier reported in a separate article by IBTimes.
