Another new female character will be joining the vampires, werewolves and witches in "The Originals" Season 2. The latest casting reports on the CW TV series revealed that the producers are currently searching for an actress to portray the new character named Ingrid.

According to a TVLine report, there is no scoop available at the moment when it comes to baby Hope Mikaelson after a fan inquired about the hybrid baby. However, someone will be arriving to New Orleans with babies on her head.

"Producers are currently casting Ingrid, a supposedly barren young woman who will stop at nothing to be with-child—including lying to her husband," the TVLine spoiler report reads. The detail on which episode Ingrid will be introduced is still unknown, but the new character could be involved in "The Originals" Season 2 storyline in several ways.

A Wet Paint report suggests Ingrid could have a connection to the witches who appears to be capable of helping her with her baby issues. Additionally, it was not revealed if Ingrid is also a supernatural creature, an ally or an enemy to the Mikaelson siblings.

There will be a lot of stories to be told in "The Originals" Season 2 and Ingrid is just one of them. In the upcoming new season, the main storyline involves the members of the Mikaelson family after Mikael (Sebastian Roché) and Esther (Alice Evans) got resurrected in the finale episode of Season 1 titled "From a Cradle to a Grave."

Aside from Ingrid's baby drama and original hybrid Klaus (Joseph Morgan) dealing with his resurrected parents, "The Originals" Season 2 will also offer the story on Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) because of her new status as a hybrid which will make the werewolf pack question her ability to lead them and the much anticipated crossover episode with "The Vampire Diaries."

In a previous report, executive producer Julie Plec has confirmed that another "TVD" and "The Originals" crossover is in the works, but she remained tight-lipped as to which characters will be involved and the story behind the Mystic Falls and New Orleans crossover.

"The Originals" Season 2 is scheduled to air its premiere episode on Monday night, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW Network.
