The return of the Mikaelson family patriarch is one of the exciting storylines in "The Originals" Season 2. Actor Sebastian Roché, who portrays Original vampire hunter Mikael in the CW spinoff series, teased in an interview the things that his character will be dealing with in the upcoming new season after Davina (Danielle Campbell) brought him back to life in "The Originals" Season 1 finale.

In an E!Online interview, the 50-year-old French-Scottish actor revealed that he knew he was not yet done portraying Mikael even though his Original hybrid son, Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) killed him in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 3. "When you have Originals in the title and you're Papa Original, I knew that eventually I was going to pop my head in," Roché shared with a laugh.

And when Mikael returns in the first five episodes of "The Originals" Season 2, Sebastian Roché assures that the scenes are going to be intense. The fans will be treated to the remarkable confrontations between Mikael and his sons, Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

"Mikael has this thousand-year-old rage and desire for revenge for his son," Roché explained. The CW star further teased that the viewers will be able to see more different layers of Mikael in "The Originals" Season 2 through flashback scenes.

Unfortunately for Mikael, his desire to kill Klaus was put on hold when Davina took full control over the resurrected Original vampire hunter as her secret weapon in "The Originals" Season 1 finale. According to Sebastian Roché, the Mikael-Davina relationship in "The Originals" Season 2 will be an interesting one because Davina have power over the Original vampire hunter.

Another interesting relationship that Sebastian Roché wants the fans to watch in the new season is the Mikael-Esther reunion after the couple spent time away from each other for more than a thousand years. Initially, Mikael is not aware that Esther (Alice Evans) returned in a body of a teenage witch but it will be interesting to see how the Original patriarch would react when he finds out that his wife is back.

Roché also wants the entire Mikaelson family become whole again. "I don't know if this will happen, but I'd really love to see the whole Original family meet, together, in a mea culpa session in modern times," the actor confessed. Lastly, Sebastian Roché hoped that Mikael will not die in "The Originals" Season 2.

"I tend to die in everything I do so I'd like to survive this time," Roché stated. Meanwhile, a Hypable report revealed the image stills from the premiere episode of "The Originals" Season 2 to tease the fans of the exciting scenes that will go down when the spinoff series returns.
