A scrumptious meal is expected to be served during dinner with guest Cassie/Esther (Natalie Dreyfuss) in "The Originals" Season 2, episode 3 titled "Every Mother's Son." However, a promo video clip for the upcoming episode showed Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) wondering who made the surprise food preparation especially if the serving on the covered platter is moving.

In the brief video clip, Hayley grabs a bite from the table filled with food. Klaus arrives to see the table while Hayley asks which restaurant is missing a compelled chef.

However, the Original hybrid confesses that he had nothing to do with the food preparation. "Then I guess we have Elijah to thank," Hayley stated. Elijah also arrives, sees the table and confirms that the food did not come from him.

"Where did this all come from?" Hayley wondered. The promo clip ends with the serving inside a covered silver platter moving and a curious Klaus reaching out to remove the cover to find out what exactly is inside. Watch the video clip below.

The person suspected to be responsible for the mysterious food preparation is none other than Esther (Alice Evans), who inhabits Cassie's body. After all, the Mikaelson matriarch sent the dinner invitation and she clearly has a plan against her sons.

Aside from the Mikaelson family dinner, the upcoming episode's synopsis teased that Esther will also reveal a shocking secret from Klaus' childhood. In a Hypable report, the synopsis for "The Originals" Season 2, episode 3 further teased that a new witch named Lenore (Sonja Sohn) will appear, Elijah will be reluctantly teaming up with newbie vampire Gia (Nishi Munshi) and Hayley will have a startling encounter with Esther.
