'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Promo Video For Mid-Season Finale Episode Tease Hope's Reunion With Hayley And Klaus, Esther And Mikael Finally Face Each Other

The CW Network recently released the promo video for the mid-season finale episode of "The Originals" Season 2 titled "The Map of Moments." The upcoming episode is expected to be an intense one since the promo video teased Esther (Sonja Sohn) and Mikael (Sebastian Roché) finally meeting up to talk about what they are going to do with their family.

The beginning of the promo video teases another reunion which is between baby Hope and her parents, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Hayley can be seen holding her daughter for the first time since they decided to give her away in "The Originals" Season 1 finale in order to protect her from her father's enemies.

"I've done every good son does, follow the example of my parents," Klaus declares. The next scene shows Esther and Mikael finally facing each other. "We have things to discuss about our children," Esther tells her husband.

According to episode's synopsis in a TV Fanatic report, Esther will make an unlikely alliance that could end dangerously for Klaus. Esther's meet up with Mikael and their discussion about their children sounds dangerous.

The synopsis further revealed that Klaus and Rebekah (Claire Holt) will be working on a plan to take down their mother once and for all. Elijah warns that they know what their Original witch mother is capable of but Klaus argues that they are doing it for the good of the Mikaelson family.

"Do what you want with the others but leave Niklaus to me," Mikael tells Esther before the promo video ends. Watch "The Originals - The Map of Moments" trailer below.

Other details on the episode synopsis teased that Kol (Daniel Sharman) is going to tell Davina (Danielle Campbell) about a spell he created back in 1914 as well as opening up to about his hatred towards his siblings, Cami (Leah Pipes) will discover that Esther's plan of making her a vessel for Rebekah puts her life in danger and Hayley will be making a decision that could change her relationship with Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

"The Originals" Season 2, episode 9 titled "The Map of Moments" which is the mid-season finale episode of the CW spinoff series will air on Monday night, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
