Spoiler alert! This article contains "Orphan Black" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.
The show stars two-time Emmy nominee Tatiana Maslany in many roles as a clone and has quickly grown in popularity amongst science fiction fanatics. Fans of the show call themselves “sestra,” which is a term that originated from the show itself, meaning “sister.” Since Season 5 of “Orphan Black” has been announced, fans are now wondering if Patrick Adams will be back to reprise his role as Jesse, who was seen in seasons two and three. His character became a fan favourite because of his romance with Helena.
In the last episode of season 4, viewers saw Rachel’s true colours; of course, she will always be herself. There, she stabs her own mother with a kitchen knife as she completes what she thinks to be an inevitable series of dramatic events in her biography. She does not care at all about Neolution’s ideology and will go as far as what is necessary to elevate her status.
Now that a brand new year has come, this could mean a lot of big things. As for Rachel, some might say that she was right all along while some might consider her crazy. Whatever the real deal is, her character is something that viewers want to learn more of. In the official Twitter account, Rachel’s New Year’s resolutions are revealed -- and they do not appear very pleasant.
The tweet says that for this New Year, Rachel promises that she will attain the perfect use of her new eye by staring more at her reflection. She also promises to “get stabbier,” which is a pun that refers to her stabbing her neglectful mother with a kitchen knife in the season 4 ender. She also promises “more clob-bob, more corncob.”
These cryptic tweets might point out more violence and crazy antics from Rachel in Season 5. After all, she has always made viewers cringe with her decisions. This could also mean that the show is just messing with its fans after the shocking events of Season 4. Whatever is in store remains to be seen when the show returns.
“Orphan Black” will return on TV for its fifth and final season on April 2017. The show airs on BBC America in the US and on Syfy Channel in Australia.
