'The Orville' season 2: Behind-the-scenes picture of new director
A new behind-the-scenes picture from the production set of “The Orville” season 2 has surfaced online. The picture shows lead cast member and Executive Producer Seth MacFarlane watching a scene with a new director. Meanwhile, Executive Producer Jason Clark shared some insights about the show in a recent interview.
Filming of season 2 has been ongoing for a while now, and judging by the look of the cast and crew in the new behind-the-scenes picture [see below], things are going well. Writer and Producer Robert Rodriguez shared the picture online and said that he is proud of his sister Rebecca Rodriguez directing an episode for the show.
The director is joined by MacFarlane and other crew members on the set, and they all appear to be watching a scene on a TV screen to make sure they got the shot right. It isn’t clear which episode is being filmed at the moment and what the plot is about.
Meanwhile, Clark spoke about the humour on the show in an interview with DenofGeek. The TV series is popular for focussing on the light-hearted scenes that dominate almost all the episodes. The reason for this is not only MacFarlane’s past work experience, but also the vision the producers have about the future of humanity.
In Clark’s vision for the future, people should be able to laugh and enjoy moments. This, the producer feels, is “one of the great things we can do.”
“I love the fact that we can take science-fiction and use it as an opportunity to reflect back on ourselves and what are our social issues today,” Clark said.
“The Orville” season 2 is set to premiere on Dec. 30. The fans can expect the same level of humorous scenes, as the show takes the viewers to explore new worlds and meet new alien characters.
