Is Amanda Seyfried the reason Anne Hathaway mistakenly wore the Prada dress that tagged her as the "nip slip" best actress?

Best supporting actress winner, Anne Hathaway, could have prevented wearing the nipple-revealing Prada number she wore for the Academy Awards. But she wore it anyway because her co-star, Amanda Seyfried, wore a dress similar to her original Valentino choice.

According to E! News, Hathaway was still undecided about her dress 3 hours before the red carpet arrivals. The actress stylists experiencing high amounts of stress adviced her to wear the baby pink Prada gown, overlooking the fact that it highlighted the actress' perky privates.

Aside from fans, many fashion critics wondered why the nominee chose Prada over her signature Valentino dresses during awards show. Coordination among the stars' stylists lacked because Amanda's Alexander McQueen sheer dress with floral embroidery looked a lot like Hathaway's original Valentino choice.

Because of this, the actress was ultimately forced to wear the unflattering Prada number.

"I didn't know what I was wearing until about three hours ago," said the actress to red carpet correspondent, Ryan Seacrest. Adding that her "hectic schedule" was to blame.

Still, the actress prevailed and won the most important acclaim of her life as a celebrity: the best supporting actress award for her performance in Les Miserables.
