'Outlander' Season 2: Sandringham refuses to bow to Claire in new trailer
Jamie and Claire will not only meet new characters while they are in France in “Outlander” Season 2, but will also see a familiar face. The two characters have already met the Duke of Sandringham and their next meeting may be awkward.
Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have had dealings with the Duke of Sandringham (Simon Callow) in the first season. A recent trailer of the next season shows the two characters meeting the Duke again in France.
When Jamie introduces his wife to the gentlemen in the room, everyone bows. Sandringham is the only one in the room who continues to just stand and stare at the couple, with a frown on his face.
The trailer shows Jamie will meet Sandringham again. The young Scottish warrior will greet the old gentleman with a respectful bow, despite the events in the previous season. The couple will be engaged in some intense politics and may be in need of some assistance from the Duke.
The couple will be travelling to Paris in “Outlander” Season 2. Heughan described the city in the show as being “extravagant and vast.” The actor can be seen playing chess in the trailer and he said that France will be a completely different world.

“It’s that contrast from last season that makes it so astounding,” Balfe said in the video. The actress revealed that the first few scenes of Paris show the city to be “vibrant and alive.”
The first part of the next season will mostly show the characters in an urban setting. Production Designer Jon Gary Steele revealed that over 100 people in his department worked on creating the sets for the show.
Set Decorator Gina Cromwell promised attention to detail in the sets of “Outlander” Season 2. Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore said that Jamie and Claire are now in the “fashion forward capital of the world” and the two main cast members will be seen wearing new costumes.
