'Outlander' Season 3: 'Explore your outer Claire' while you wait, say Diana Gabaldon; Critics Choice Awards nomination
While the fans wait for “Outlander” Season 3, they can “explore their outer Claire,” said Diana Gabaldon. A new line of clothing that has been launched may help the fans to get over Droughtlander.
In a Facebook post, Gabaldon told her fans that there is another way to enjoy Droughtlander and that is to try out the new line of clothing that is inspired from the TV series. A report on Revelist shows a few women trying out the outfits from the new line. The first one is a tartan dress that was available for US $44.17 (around AU $58.60), but is currently out of stock. Galboldon said that she is not sure for how long the clothes will be out of stock, but hopes they go back on sale soon.
The tartan dress is worn by Victoria in the pictures. She paired it with knee-high black socks, high-heeled black ankle boots from Old Navy, and a gold cross necklace. Fans of the “Outlander” TV series can easily recognise the colour and the design of the dress as a modern version of a Highlander dress.
The second dress is a kilt for women. The model who wore the dress in the picture said that she got a lot of complements from colleagues and others after wearing it. She paired the kilt with H&M off-the-shoulders top and Steve Madden boots.
Meanwhile, it is once again time for the Critics Choice Awards for Movie and Television. While the Starz TV series did not get nominated, two of its main cast members did make it to the list.
“Outlander” star Sam Heughan (Jamie) is nominated in the Best Actor in a Drama Series category, and he will be competing against Rami Malek from “Mr. Robot,” Bob Odenkirk from “Better Call Saul,” Matthew Rhys from “The Americans,” Liev Schreiber from “Ray Donovan” and Kevin Spacey from “House of Cards.” Caitriona Balfe (Claire) is nominated in Best Actress in a Drama Series. She will be going up against Viola Davis from “How to Get Away with Murder,” Tatiana Maslany from “Orphan Black,” Keri Russell from “The Americans,” Evan Rachel Wood from “Westworld” and Robin Wright from “House of Cards.”
