'Outlander' season 3 has to be 'more romantic'; Print Shop scene 'very beautiful'
Fans who are eagerly waiting to see more romance in “Outlander” season 3 may not be disappointed. In a recent interview, cast member Caitriona Balfe said that the team has to make the upcoming season “more romantic” than the last, and also added that the highly anticipated Print Shop scene was “very beautiful.”
In an interview with MTV News, Balfe (Claire) joked that the cast and crew would be “killed” if the new season is not “more romantic” than the last. However, the fans will have to wait for a while before they get to see Jamie (Sam Heughan) together with the love of his life.
The next season will begin by showing Jamie during the 20 years that he was separated from Claire, thinking that they can never be together again. Similarly Claire will try to rebuild her life with her first husband Frank (Tobias Menzies), while believing her Scottish husband to be dead. Balfe added that the Boston scenes will be “not too much.”
Some of the scenes in “Outlander” season 3 have to explore the pain Claire went through during her time away from Jamie, and what her relationship was like with Frank and her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton). Later the Sassenach will be reunited with the love of her life.
Balfe said that the Print Shop scene was “very beautiful.” The actress emphasized how beautiful this scene is, knowing how much the fans are looking forward to it. After the reunion the main characters go on ships on a long sea voyage.
The cast and crew of “Outlander” season 3 are expected to start filming the ship scenes and the Caribbean scenes about four months from now. In the mean time, filming continues on schedule in Scotland. The Battle of Culloden and Boston scenes have already been filmed in the country.
