'Outlander' Season 3 production update: Leaked picture gives first glimpse at Lord John Grey
The first look of Lord John Grey has been revealed in leaked pictures from the production set of “Outlander” Season 3. Filming took place at two castles that stand in for locations in the TV series.

Pictures posted on the Twitter page of The Rank and File give the fans a first look at Lord John Grey (David Berry). Berry can be seen in his red army uniform along with his fellow actors and crew members. The pictures are said to be taken at Dunure. A clearer picture of the actor and his uniform has been posted on the Twitter page of Amy Noelle.
Lord John Grey is an important figure in the books series by Diana Gabaldon, and has his own spin off books series. The character will be first seen as the Governor of Ardsmuir Prison in the TV series, where he will meet Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The two characters are expected to form a shaky alliance and awkward friendship in “Outlander” Season 3.
Another picture taken at Dunure has been posted on the Twitter page of Celtic Twist. The pictures show some of the actors rowing a boat.
According to a report by Daily Record, an ancient castle outside Edinburg could be standing in for Ardsmuir Prison. The Craigmillar Castle is said to be a ruined medieval castle, which is known for its connection to Mary Queen of Scots. Leaked pictures from this location posted on the Twitter page of Angie Castells shows some of the scenes for the TV series being filmed at the castle.
The Craigmillar Castle is not the only one that the cast and crew have been using to film scenes for “Outlander” Season 3. According to a report by Outlander TV News, the cast and crew also visited the Dunure Castle, and some of the actors wearing red army uniforms were spotted at this location.
