'Outlander' Season 2 deleted scene; Get ready for DVD and Blu-ray release
With just a few weeks remaining for the release date of “Outlander” Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray. A new deleted scene has been released online. The video shows an interaction between Claire and Murtagh, and later Jamie prepares to meet Prince Charles in a French brothel.
[Spoiler alert]
The deleted scene from the previous season posted on the Facebook page of BuzzFeed Entertainment shows a scene from the fourth episode titled “La Dame Blanche.” This is a time when Claire (Caitriona Balfe), Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) are in France and have taken in Fergus (Romann Berrux).
In the first few episodes, Jamie was still depressed about the events in the first season. It was in episode 4 that things turned around. The trigger was the revelation that Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) is still alive.
The deleted scene shows Murtagh telling Claire that Jamie is in a “cheery mood.” Claire tells him that she told her husband about Black Jack being alive and adds that Murtagh’s concerns were baseless.
The main theme of “Outlander” Season 2 was focused on Claire and Jamie attempting to stop the Jacobite Rebellion. The young Highlander prepares to meet with Prince Charles (Andrew Gower) in a French brothel for this very purpose in the deleted scene.
In the deleted video, Claire catches Jamie asking Fergus about the prostitutes in the French brothel. She is concerned about why her husband is discussing such a topic with an 11 year old boy. She does not like her husband meeting the Prince in a brothel. The Highlander assures her that he tried to choose an alternate venue, but Charles likes what he likes.
The deleted scene and more content is expected to be featured in the DVD and Blu-ray of “Outlander” Season 2. The set will be released on Nov. 1 and it will be available on Amazon.
