'Outlander' Season 3: Sam Heughan and Romann Berrux 'beat the page' while filming

Sam Heughan and Romann Berrux earned rich praise for their performance on the set of “Outlander” Season 3 recently. Co-executive Producer and Writer Anne Kenney said that the actors “beat the page.”
Kenney, who has written the script for the second episode of the next season, praised Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Berrux (Fergus) for their performance recently. Kenny said that their performance reminded her of what she loves about her job.
When one of the fans asked her what it means to “beat the page,” Kenny explained that the actors were able to perform better than what the writer had imagined while writing the script. The producer did not elaborate on what this scene was about.
Reacting to the praise, Berrux thanked Kenney. The young actor said the performance was a result of “very smart dialogue and the authenticity of Jamie himself!” “The problem now is to ‘turn the page’,” the actor teased.
The subtle hint by Berrux did not go unnoticed by the fans. “Outlander” Season 3 will be introducing an older Fergus, played by César Domboy. That means, the role of the younger version will eventually come to an end. The fans said on Twitter that they will miss Berrux.
Kenney also teased that the production crew built a “literal man cave” on the set. Production Designer Jon Gary Steele revealed that it was built using plaster. Kenney complimented the art department for their work. It is not clear what the cave is for, but it appears to have something to do with Jamie. Heughan joked that no one is allowed in his cave.
Filming of Block 2, consisting of two episodes, may have been completed. Kenney recently spent her last day on set for the second block. Meanwhile, Steele and Co-Executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts teased new pictures from the sets of “Outlander” Season 3.

The Outlander art department is truly AMAZING. And they never seemed thrown by anything (at least not where we can see them!) https://t.co/8HEbnIoATP
