'Outlander' Season 3 spoilers: Canons and pitchforks pictures teased by production designer
Scenes of battle will once again be featured in “Outlander” Season 3. The production designer of the TV series has teased a few pictures from the next season, giving the fans a glimpse of some of the set pieces that will be used.
[Spoiler alert]
Production Designer Jon Gary Steele has teased pictures of canons, pitchforks and more on his Instagram page. The set pieces hint at more battle scenes on the show. The next season is expected to show the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden and the fates of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix).
The next season is based on the Diana Gaboldon’s book “Voyager.” Some of the biggest deaths are featured in the book and the same can be expected in the TV series. The deaths could be shown in flashback scenes of the Battle of Culloden or the story could be told in a more linear format.
Apart from the scenes of battle in “Outlander” Season 3, the production designer also teased a picture of the cobble mats that will be used to cover the roads and make some the filming locations look more like the 18th century. The show has won high praise for the attention to detail in the costumes and the sets to make the show feel authentic.
After capturing the 18th century look of Scotland in the first season and of France in the second season, the production team is all set to capture the authentic look of the Caribbean in the next season. Commenting on one of the pictures, a fan remarked that the set pieces look like they will be featured on the West Indies set.
A lot of the action in “Outlander” Season 3 will take place on ships. Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will meet a new set of characters and encounter dangerous new enemies. From high seas pirates to another prison, the fans are in for another big adventure when the show returns.
