'Outlander' Season 3 spoilers: Sam Heughan looks ‘scary’ in scene description; Another behind the scenes picture teased
A scene description from “Outlander” Season 3 reportedly revealed by author Diana Gabaldon talks about Sam Heughan’s performance while filming the first block. The actor apparently looked “scary” in a key sequence just before the start of Battle of Culloden.
[Spoiler alert]
The premiere episode of the next season is set to begin with the Battle of Culloden. Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) has already released a video from the set, teasing a scene of battle. Now, a post on Twitter by Wanda Serrano reveals a post by Gabaldon that talks about a scene just before the battle starts.
Jamie rushes to be by Prince Charles’ (Andrew Gower) side, and prepares for the battle in this scene. The Prince is busy “gassing away” about the victory he expects in the battle, while admiring his silver cup. Jamie, however, doesn’t react to Charles’ boastful words.
Jamie is undressing, to prepare for the battle, and is slowly losing his mind while doing it. The Highlanders are expected to lose the Battle of Culloden in “Outlander” Season 3, as Claire (Caitriona Balfe) knows about it and has told her husband. Therefore, Jamie is mentally “preparing to meet death and paying not a scrap of attention to the man who’s sending him there.” Later the battle begins.
Gabaldon revealed that Heughan looked “freakin’ scary” in this scene. She described it as a “great scene” and hoped the scene doesn’t get edited out.
Meanwhile, Co-executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts continues to tease some behind the scenes pictures, while scouting for locations for the next season of the TV series. Both the pictures have been taken in the woods in Scotland.
“Outlander” Season 3 is set to premiere sometime in 2017. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. After taking the viewers on a journey through Scotland and France in the first two seasons, the show is all set to take the fans on an adventure in the Caribbean this time around.
